[9] Hokujo teaware contributor:Dave Britton contribution day:2008/04/21(Mon) 03:46

A while ago I noticed the addition of Hokujo kyuusu to your web shop and I was very pleased to see this. Even though I already own six Hokujo's, I purchased the "English Teapot" because I don't own one with a conventional handle. As expected, this item is top-notch as are my other six by this artisan. The looks of the Mogake style (adding seaweed before firing) are a matter of taste (I like them), but the excellence of brewing tea in Hokujo's Tokaname wares is another story; I rarely use anyone else's teaware because I believe the Hokujo are superior. These are great additions to your shop and round out and diversify the selection very well. Good choice!

very beautiful detail and pieces, very talented. But too expensive. Would sell lots more, and generate more clients if prices were more affordable for average American.

[7] Customer voices contributor:Owner contribution day:2008/01/30(Wed) 21:33

Some customer e-mailed me about feedback after they received items.
I want you to refer to the feedback before shopping.
I share some customer feedback as follows,

Item #18: Sake ware set Kutani Shochikubai
Dear Yutaka Miyauchi -
Thank you so much for the fast, prompt shipping. Our new sake set is truly a beautiful work of art. It was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you & kind regards – K. S. (IL, USA)

Item #28: Green Tea ware set Imari Houou
Dear Yutaka, the tea set and chopstick rests arrived today. I want to thank you for the great service and the high quality of the tea set, all beautifully packed. Thank you so much best wishes, J.W. (MA, USA)

Item # 5: Free cups Kutani Tessen
I recently picked up the teapot I purchased from my post office. I am very happy with the item and look forward to buying more items from you and have already recommended your shop to friends as it is quite difficult to get items of such refinement and beauty in Australia.
I must also thank you for the additional gift, it is appreciated and I wish you all the best for your recently opened web shop. Kind Regards, D. B. (Australia)

[6] Re:[5] Second great order! contributor:Owner contribution day:2008/01/16(Wed) 22:43

Thank you very much.

I am really glad your feedback.

Today, I went to tableware show for seller in Nagoya city.
I have ordered some Tokoname tea pots and green tea cups.
I got some antique Imari green tea cups.
The cups were made by Kakizaemon kiln.
I have also order other items too.

When I get new items, I will list on the shop soon.
Please come back.

Best regards,

Yutaka

[5] Second great order! contributor:Dave Britton contribution day:2008/01/14(Mon) 12:00

I received my second order on Friday. As with the first order it contained great products that were accurately represented by the posted photos. The items were very safely packaged and the shipping was very quick. I have used both items several times already and I am very satisfied with them.

The Imari "wave" trays, along with the fish-shaped dipping sauce dishes from the first order, are ideal for serving sushi and sashimi. They are very functional and the ocean waves and fish themes of the dishes add considerably to the sushi-bar style atmosphere and greatly increase the enjoyment of eating sushi at home.

The Tokaname "Kenji" kyusu is great as well.

Thanks once again,
DB

[3] I am speechless! contributor:Dave Britton contribution day:2007/12/31(Mon) 04:03

I do much business with Japanese online shops and exceptional service is the norm. However, Yutaka takes it even closer to perfection than most others do.

My first order was placed and shipped within hours, therefore avoiding the Japan Post holiday shutdown that I overlooked. Two and one half days later as I write this, I am drinking sencha from an awesome kyusu that was part of that order. Did you hire Superman to deliver this so quick? I am abslolutely amazed that I received this so fast.

Packaging was as stated in the site FAQ. My order was packed exceptionaly well. To get such safe packaging in addition to super-fast shipping is the sign of a truly knowledable, expert seller.

The product pictures posted on this site are exceptionally accurate and truly represent the items that are purchased. However,I think the products I purchased are even better than the excellent pictures implied. This is a sign of expert product design and craftsmanship when actual handling or use of a product makes it even more enjoyable.

One thousand thanks to Yutaka of Japanese Hand Craft for supplying such exceptional, expertly crafted Japanese products to the rest of the world, for delivering them so quickly and safely, and for making the uniqueness and fun of Japan available for all of us to enjoy, no matter where we reside.

I will link the topics on blog with item descriptions in near future.
I think it is good help everybody understand the items.

So I think you are lucky to work with Hiro-san.
He is very good guy!

The site looks very interesting. The explanation usage and historical background of the items is good. It helps me better understand the product application. Also, it would help me better explain to others by knowing.

By the way, I was referred to your site by Mr. Hiro Shiraishi. He is former co-worker and good freind to me.

Best of luck to you!

Sean Baugh
